Job Description
The Senior Tech Support Engineer will respond to Emails, technical support requests on our web-based support portal and our user community forums, review and research issues, redirect users to existing solutions in our support knowledge base whenever available, provide step-by-step troubleshooting suggestions and, in general, resolve functional problems and Orb system issues in a timely manner.

The successful candidate, a self-motivated individual with a strong knowledge of LAN and WAN networking, must have a strong interest in learning audio and video streaming technology, as well as basic communication protocols of various mobile devices and their operating environments, browsers and media players. We are seeking a candidate who, as a member of our engineering department working closely with developers, will also demonstrate willingness to embrace responsibility and do whatever it takes to mature his or her skills.

Desired Profile
REQUIREMENTS:

The TSE will be capable of working independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced software development environment, and will have:

Minimum 3 years of Technical/Software Support experience troubleshooting software, networks, and system problems .

Pro-active – Good Team player with Excellent communication and written skills is a must.

Genuine interest in understanding and communicating advanced technical issues in plain English.

Ability to learn quickly new technologies and solve technical issues through research and analysis.

Ability to respond to multiple technical issues in an organized, competent and timely manner.

Comfortable working in an entrepreneurial environment/start-up

QUALIFICATION/EDUCATION

Bachelor’s degree in computer science/information technology or equivalent relevant experience.

We prefer computer science graduates with good communication, internet browsing and basic troubleshooting skills and who are willing to learn new technologies.

COMPENSATION : Not a constraint for the RIGHT candidate.
