Software Engineer- DB

Job Description

Hostway is seeking technocrats who are eager, energetic and highly motivated for a Software Engineer- DB position with our Engineering Group, located in Mumbai.

Required Skills

*

Willing to work on a large scale database.
*

Strong understanding of RDBMS concepts.
*

Knowledge of Linux, Apache, MySQL is preferred.
*

Good knowledge of SQL query language.
*

Good knowledge of stored procedures, triggers and functions.
*

Good knowledge DDL and DML statements.
*

Familiarity with other RDBMS systems such as Oracle, DB2, MS SQL server et cetera would be an added advantage.
*

A major plus would be a good understanding of Linux internals and file system.
*

Strong programming, analysis and design skills.
*

Good knowledge of both Linux and Windows in a software development setting.
*

Basic networking knowledge.

Education and other Qualifications:

BE/BSc/Diploma in any stream, preferably Computer Science, Information Technology or any other related field.
*

Must be a good team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
*

Enthusiasm for solving challenging problems.
