Designation IT Helpdesk Lead
Job Description * Have overall responsibility for the local IT Help Desk and support personnel located at the ATC.
* Provide inputs for the management, administration and maintenance of the organizations desktops, laptops, telecommunication equipment and related hardware and software and oversee end-user support.
* Ensure adherence to processes and provide inputs for refining them.
* Ensure prompt attention to user calls and project requirements.
* Help in hiring, training, professional development and growth of the help desk teams.
* Track user perceptions of IT support through the use of appropriate metrics.
* Maintain accurate and current documentation of desktops, laptops and associated hardware and software assets.
* Help in implementing tactical and strategic plans for IT support and development of associated budgets.
* Meet and consult regularly and proactively with key users, stakeholders, vendors and management to discuss and resolve challenges and support issues.
* Remain informed of the most current IT trends and technology.
Desired Profile * Have good knowledge on Microsoft technologies like AD, Win 2003, XP, Exchange, SMS, MoM, etc, basic knowledge of Linux, UNIX, good network and Telecom concepts
* Have handled varied infrastructure requests (servers, desktops, laptops, projectors, audio conferencing and the like) with good vendor coordination skills
